New York Biotechnology Association (NYBA), the voice of New York State’s biotechnology industry, today announced the line-up of presenting companies in the 2010 Bioscience Corporate Showcase, a special element of the NYBA 2010 Annual Meeting, April 19-20, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square.
The 15 companies presenting in the Showcase on Monday, April 19 are:

· 12:00-2:00 Plenary lunch program featuring Dr. Christoph Hergersberg, Global Technology Leader, Bioscience, GE Global Research; and The Honorable James Greenwood, President and CEO, Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO)
· 2:20 pm Cornerstone Pharmaceuticals (cancer therapies)
· 2:40 pm Immune Pharmaceuticals (cancer, auto-immune diseases and infectious diseases)
· 3:00 pm TechnoVax (vaccine development using Virus-Like Particle (VLP) technology)

The NYBA 2010 Annual Meeting program, which can be seen at www.nyba.org, will highlight more than 30 panel sessions on key industry topics, including Drugs, Diagnostics and Medical Devices; Advances in Bioscience; Investment and Financial Issues; The Business of Biotech; Regulatory and Policy Challenges; and Legal and IP Issues.
In addition to the Bioscience Corporate Showcase and luncheon speakers, the program will feature keynote addresses from
- Gov. Howard Dean, Presidential candidate and 6-time governor of Vermont;
- Jerome Bettis, Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers running back and asthma health advocate; and
- Robert Lieber, Deputy Mayor of New York City for Economic Development.
Concurrently, in the Innovation Alley Poster Session, the next generation of scientists and emerging companies will exhibit their groundbreaking scientific research, work that will enable the next great bioscience discovery.
In all, more than 650 attendees will converge on the Marriott Marquis to learn, network, discuss, contemplate, debate and engage.
